Sporting Kansas City announced on Wednesday that 20-year-old forward Daniel Salloi will spend 2016 on loan with Hungary First Division club Gyirmot FC Gyor.
Last month, Sporting KC loaned Salloi to Vasas SC. Instead, he will spend the year with newly-promoted Gyirmot in the OTP Bank Liga. Gyirmot is the youngest team Hungary's first division having been founded in 1993.
Salloi signed for Sporting Kansas City as a Homegrown Player in January and recorded four goals and three assists in 10 games this season while on loan with the Swope Park Rangers in the United Soccer League.
A native of Budapest, Hungary, Salloi moved to the United States in August 2014 and joined the Sporting Kansas City Academy U-18s for the 2014-15 season, netting a team-high 21 goals in 28 appearances. He then returned to Hungary last July to sign an amateur contract for Ujpest FC, where he tallied seven goals and four assists in 16 matches across all competitions.
