The Swope Park Rangers today announced the club’s preseason schedule ahead of the 2018 United Soccer League season. The Rangers begin preseason training this week with the first training session taking place on Tuesday afternoon. SPR will open the 2018 USL season on the road at Reno 1868 FC on March 17 before playing its home opener on March 24 versus Seattle Sounders FC 2 at Shawnee Mission South District Stadium.
The Rangers will take part in six matches throughout preseason, starting with three games at the club's training home, Swope Soccer Village. The side will scrimmage Rockhurst University on Saturday, February 10 before taking on fellow USL outfit Tulsa Roughnecks FC seven days later.
SPR will next face Creighton University on February 24 before departing to Indianapolis for a five-day training camp where the side will take on new USL side Indy Eleven and NCAA power Indiana University before returning to Kansas City. The Rangers will then wrap up preseason with a home match against University of Missouri – Kansas City on March 10.
