CLUB COMMUNICATIONS
Please contact communications@sportingkc.com to be added to the club's distribution list for press releases (e.g. match previews, match recaps, player transactions, etc.) and media advisories (e.g. asset alerts, weekly schedules, media availabilities, etc.).
CREDENTIAL REQUESTS
Sporting Kansas City credentials a limited number of media members at Children's Mercy Park for home matches. The online application for single-game credentials will close 48 hours prior to each Sporting Kansas City home match. Please contact communications@sportingkc.com in advance to request the media credential application link.
Credentials will be granted to media based upon several considerations, including the following:
- Verifiable work assignment from known media outlet
- Need for and use of media access to facilitate reporting
- Availability of space within designated media areas
- Media outlet's adherence to media policies and procedures
The club does not accommodate credential requests from individuals applying for personal purposes or coverage limited to social media channels.
MEDIA RESOURCES
Sporting KC match notes will be available two days prior to each match. Match highlights, training b-roll, photos and soundbites are available on Imagen at mls.imagencloud.com for registered media users to preview, clip and download. Additional assets are available via MLS Communications on the Media Resources section of MLSsoccer.com, including MLS press releases.
COMPASS MINERALS NATIONAL PERFORMANCE CENTER
Sporting Kansas City training sessions at Compass Minerals National Performance Center (1913 Pinnacle Way) in Kansas City, Kan., will be open to media for 15-minute windows during the 2025 season for video and photo purposes. The club will alert media each week to any scheduled media availabilities occurring before or after training. Media are asked to RSVP to Sporting KC Press Officer Patrik Bergabo (patrik.bergabo@sportingkc.com, 203-300-9927) if attending a training session or media availability at Compass Minerals National Performance Center.
