96.5 The Buzz announced on Monday the lineup for this year's Buzz Beach Ball. For the fourth time in five years, Sporting Park will host the annual rock concert. This year's event will take place on Saturday, July 25.
Twelve groups are confirmed for this year's concert including the headline act Alt-J, an English indie rock band who played at last year's Halloweenie Roast event at the Arvest Bank Theatre at The Midland. Their debut album An Awesome Wave was named the BBC Radio 6 Music Album of the Year in 2012 and their second album This is All Yours debuted at No. 1 on the UK's Official Albums Chart.
Other confirmed Buzz Beach Ball acts include: Awolnation, Taking Back Sunday, Glass Animals, Milky Chance, Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, Robert Delong, Misterwives, The Ting Tings, Hanni El Khatib and Zella Day.
Tickets for the event go on sale to the general public on Friday, February 27 at 10 a.m. CT with prices starting as low as $25 for a general admission ticket. There will be a special presale for Sporting KC fans from Wednesday, February 25 at 10 a.m. until Thursday, February 26 at 11:59 p.m. CT.
