Portland Timbers 1, San Jose Earthquakes 0
The Portland Timbers U-17s remained perfect thanks to a goal in the final minute of regulation from Andy Lomelli. The midfielder's impressive run into the box and cool finish past San Jose goalkeeper Eric De La Cerda in the 80th minute was a fitting reward as Portland piled on the pressure in the late stages. Earlier in the half, Brendan Herb's sweetly struck free kick caromed off the crossbar before Rian Jamai's side-footer glanced inches wide of the frame. The Earthquakes carved out their best chance shortly after halftime when Aikala Chappel created a turnover and sent a rasping shot just beyond the far post.

LA Galaxy 2 (5), Seattle Sounders FC 2 (3)
Seattle Sounders FC U-17s fell to a penalty shootout defeat for the second consecutive day after drawing 2-2 with the LA Galaxy U-17s on Saturday afternoon. The game opened up in the second half as Galaxy substitute Ulysses Llanez showed stunning trickery to win a free kick on the edge of the area and curled home the free kick himself to make the score 1-0 in the 59th minute. Seattle hit right back five minutes later when Ray Serrano burst into the area and finished clinically for his third goal of the tournament before Llanez added his second of the game with a brilliant run and calm finish to make it 2-1 in favor of LA in the 71st minute. With the points seemingly heading to the Galaxy, the Sounders equalized in the fourth minute of added time when Daniel Leyva smashed a low ball across the face that was deflected into the roof of the net, sending the game to penalties. The Galaxy scored all five of their attempts while goalkeeper John Pulskamp made the decisive stop in the third round when he tipped Serrano's effort against the post as LA won the shootout 5-3.

Sporting KC 2, Real Salt Lake 1
Sporting Kansas City U-17s claimed their first win of the 2017 Generation adidas Cup Qualifying Stage with a 2-1 victory over Real Salt Lake U-17s. Sporting KC got off to the perfect start when Gabe Ramos scored his second in as many games in the sixth minute when he lobbed a finish into the net after Gianluca Busio had put RSL goalkeeper David Ochoa under pressure to concede possession. Sporting KC suffered a setback in 31st minute when forward Tyler Freeman was sent off after being shown his second yellow card, only for Busio to double the lead two minutes later. Gabe Findley set up the Sporting KC Homegrown Player to strike and he curled his effort into the far corner to make the score 2-0. Real Salt Lake pulled a goal back through Ben Ortiz in the 59th minute when he prodded home a loose ball but Sporting KC hung on despite playing nearly 50 minutes with 10 men.
