96.5 The Buzz announced on Wednesday the lineup for this year's Buzz Beach Ball. For the sixth time, Children's Mercy Park will host the annual rock concert. This year's event will take place September 8-9.
Twenty-two groups are confirmed for this year's concert including the Snoop Dogg, Foster the People and Weezer. Snoop Dogg is one of the most recognizable names in the music industry with 18 Grammy Award nominations. The California native began his music career in 1992 and has since sold more than 35 million albums worldwide.
Foster the People burst on to the music scene in 2011 with their hit Pumped Up Kicks. The group has been nominated for three Grammy Awards and won Billboard Music Awards Rock Song of the Year in 2012 for Pumped Up Kicks. Weezer won the 2009 Grammy Award for Best Short Form Music Video and has been nominated for three in their career including this past year for Best Rock Album.
Other confirmed Buzz Beach Ball acts include: Run the Jewels, Spoon, Gogol Bordello, Marian Hill, Bob Moses, K.Flay, Bishop Briggs, Pvris, Irontom, Hippo Campus, Toadies, Lolo, Middle Kids, Chicano Batman, Beach Slang, Local H, The Score, Yes You Are and The Sluts.
