Academy U13's and U15's learn group opponents for Regional Championships

2015 U.S. Youth Soccer Region II Midwest Championship

With one week until the 2015 US Youth Soccer Region II Championships, the Sporting Kansas City Under-13 and Under-15 Academy teams learned their group stage opponents for the five-day event in Fox Cities, Wisconsin. The U-13's, led by Matt Trumpp, will compete in Group C while the U-15's, coached by Jon Parry, will aim to advance from Group A.

The top teams from across the 13-state region will take the field at USA Youth Sports Complex and Southwest Park when the annual tournament kicks off on Saturday, June 20. Sporting Kansas City's two representatives each won Kansas State Cup earlier this month and will now be seeking a berth in the 2015 US Youth Soccer National Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma.


Last summer, the Sporting KC Academy U-14's won the US Youth Soccer Region II Championship and traveled to Germantown, Maryland to compete at the National Championships. Follow
