After posting a 6-3-3 record in eMLS League Series One last month in Philadelphia, Sporting Kansas City's Alekzandur will travel west this week to compete in eMLS League Series Two with the objective of qualifying for the 2020 eMLS Cup.
Competing in Philadelphia among 24 other gamers at the first eMLS event of 2020, Alekzandur placed 10th overall and finished on a four-game winning streak. He will aim to improve upon that performance this time around, hitting the sticks in Friday's regular season with hopes of finishing in the top seven to qualify for Saturday night's knockout rounds.
eMLS League Series One and Two effectively serve as qualifiers for eMLS Cup on March 21 in Austin. Alekzandur must finish in the top 11 in cumulative points collected between the two events to reach the prized competition next month.

League Series Two is the second of three eMLS tournaments taking place in 2020. It was preceded by League Series One, won by FC Cincinnati's FCC Fiddle, and will be followed by eMLS Cup in March. Players from 25 MLS teams (including 2021 expansion side Austin FC) will compete to be crowned League Series Two champion as well as for points in the 2020 eMLS standings. The League Series Two winner will also receive a $7,500 cash prize.
All 25 players will play 12 games during the regular-season portion of the event, which takes place on Friday. The top eight overall players (regardless of conference) will qualify for the live-stream portion of the event on Saturday (6-9:30 p.m. CT), with the host club (in this case the Portland Timbers) guaranteed a place on the live stream no matter their player's result.
