Fontas, a 32-year-old Spanish centerback, scored the game-winning goal in the team's 4-1 victory over the Portland Timbers on Sunday at Children's Mercy Park. After scoring once in his first 70 MLS regular season matches since joining the club in 2018, Fontas now has goals in back-to-back games and wrote his name into the club record books with a milestone moment.
