Sporting Kansas City will kick off the team’s highly anticipated 2022 season at 2 p.m. CT today against Atlanta United FC and, to celebrate the start of the new MLS campaign, the club will host a State Line Block Party presented by Michelob Ultra and adidas.
Covering two blocks of Kansas City in the heart of West 39th Street between Genessee Street and Terrace Street, the sold out fan event is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. CT – with festivities including live music, yard games and drink specials – and the watch party will feature a large LED screen for viewing Sporting Kansas City’s nationally-televised season opener live at 2 p.m. CT.
PARKING
Parking for this event will be very limited. Attendees are strongly encouraged to carpool or use a rideshare service. Parking lots in the area are unavailable to be used by event attendees. The lots will be monitored and violators will be towed. Street parking will also be limited.

FOOD AND BEVERAGES
Alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the streets at any time in accordance with state and city regulations. Food and beverages will be available inside restaurants, shops and bars in the area. All locally owned restaurants and bars in the area will be showing the match and the majority will have food/drink specials for this event.
ENTRY
Entrances are located at West 39th Street and Genessee Street as well as at West 39th Street and Wyoming Street. Click here to get directions. Fans are asked to have their SeatGeek tickets ready when entering the event. All attendees will receive a wristband once they enter and re-entry into the event will be allowed with a wristband.

ATLvSKC WATCH PARTY
Fans will be able to watch ATLvSKC on a large LED screen located in the street at West 39th Street and Terrance Street. Fans will also be able to watch the match inside bars and restaurants in the area, however seating is limited. Kick off is set for 2 p.m.
BLOCK PARTY PASSPORT
All attendees who complete the State Line Block Party Passport will win a prize. Pick up the passport at the Sporting KC table and stop by each business on the passport to receives offers or discounts. Once the passport is completed, stop by the Sporting KC table to claim the prize.
