Captain Matt Besler joined ESPN's Taylor Twellman on Banter today to preview Group D of the MLS is Back Tournament, where Sporting Kansas City will face Minnesota United FC on July 12, the Colorado Rapids on July 17 and Real Salt Lake on July 22.
A 12-year MLS veteran with his hometown club, Besler discussed being in a bubble in Disney World as well as the difficulty playing in different time-slots, with Sporting's 8 a.m. CT kickoff against RSL serving as the earliest match in club history.
Besler also reflected on the “Black Lives Matter” movement, where he feels it’s been a “tough realization” putting the current social issues into perspective.
