Sporting Kansas City midfielder Brad Davis joined elite company on Sunday with his 400th MLS appearance. The 2014 World Cup veteran is only the fifth MLS player to accomplish the feat and just the third active player to feature in 400 MLS games.
Davis is now 12 games behind MLS legend - and fellow St. Louis native - Steve Ralston for fourth all-time in MLS appearances. Former Kansas City goalkeeper Kevin Hartman is first on the list with 465 appearances during the regular season and playoffs.
The six-time MLS All-Star joined Sporting Kansas City this offseason in a trade with the Houston Dynamo. He was drafted by the New York / New Jersey MetroStars in 2002 and has since played for the Dallas Burn, San Jose Earthquakes and the Houston Dynamo.
Davis leads all active MLS players with 122 regular season assists and is third on the MLS all-time list behind Landon Donovan (136) and Ralston (135).
Davis and Sporting KC continue their three-game road swing this weekend with a nationally-televised match against the San Jose Earthquakes. The match will kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT on ESPN and ESPN Deportes.
