Episode 8 of BS The Podcast dropped Wednesday as Benny Feilhaber and Sal Zizzo caught up with blossoming U.S. international defender Aaron Long, whose standout performances for the New York Red Bulls over the last three seasons have catapulted him into the running for best American defender in the sport.
Long, who previously played alongside Zizzo at the Red Bulls in 2017, covered a variety of compelling topics on the show. In addition to reflecting on his meteoric rise from USL Championship defender to national team center back, Long discussed the rumors of his transfer to Europe and if he thinks Feilhaber would make a good center back in MLS.
In a customary segment of the episode, Minnesota United FC's Ike Opara also makes an appearance to hit Long with some hard-hitting questions.
