On the heels of a breakthrough win over hated rivals St. Louis City SC last weekend, Sporting Kansas City will play for another victory Sunday when the Portland Timbers visit Children's Mercy Park. The Western Conference clash will kick off at 1:15 p.m. CT with tickets available at SeatGeek.com and national broadcasts on FOX, FOX Deportes and MLS Season Pass via Apple TV. Sports Radio 810 WHB will also air the game locally.
Dejan Joveljic bagged two second-half goals in Sporting's euphoric 2-0 triumph against St. Louis, the first match in charge for interim head coach Kerry Zavagnin. The result has given Kansas City palpable momentum entering Sunday's matinee versus an in-form Portland side that has two wins and two draws in its last four games.
