Sporting Kansas City will venture sout FC Dallas on Saturday night at Toyota Stadium in the club's season finale.

A match-up of MLS charter clubs, Sporting Kansas City has a chance to sweep FC Dallas in a season series for the first time after earning a 3-2 win on July 7 in MLS play and a 2-1 victory three days later in the U.S. Open Cup quarterfinals.

All seven Western Conference matches will kick off at 8:15 p.m. CT on Decision Day and fans can watch all the action on Apple TV with an MLS Season Pass subscription. Pub partners in the Sporting Pub Network will also show DALvSKC, including a watch party at No Other Pub in the KC Power & Light District. In addition, radio coverage will air locally on Sports Radio 810 WHB as well as La Grande 1340 AM with live audio streams in the Sporting KC App.

Head-to-Head

  • Sporting and Dallas are poised for their third meeting this season in all competitions. Sporting beat Dallas twice in the space of four days at Children’s Mercy Park, prevailing 3-2 in the regular season on July 7 and 2-1 in extra time in the 2024 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup quarterfinals.
  • Sporting forward Willy Agada scored three goals across the two previous matches against Dallas this season, bagging a brace in the 3-2 win on July 7 and striking late in the 2-1 Open Cup win on July 10.
  • Dallas forward Petar Musa also scored in both previous meetings this season, a 65th-minute equalizer to make the score 2-2 on July 7 and an 87th-minute equalizer to make the score 1-1 on July 10.
  • Sporting midfielder Memo Rodriguez scored a late winner in the 3-2 regular season victory on July 7. Rodriguez has three goals and five total goal contributions (two assists) in 14 regular season appearances against Dallas, both of which are his most against any MLS opponent.

  • Sporting’s 1.52 goals per match during the 2024 regular season are the club’s fourth most since the Peter Vermes era began in 2009 (Sporting had more goals per match in 2018, 2020 and 2021).
  • Sporting has won each of its last seven matches in all competitions when scoring at least twice, dating back to June 29.

  • Midfielder Jake Davis assisted Afrifa’s goal against St. Louis and now has six goal contributions in his last seven matches across all competitions (one goal, five assists).
  • Davis, who ranks seventh in MLS with 73 tackles, was named Sporting’s team MVP on Oct. 10. At 22 years old, he becomes the youngest team MVP in Sporting history and the second Sporting KC Academy product to earn the award after Daniel Salloi in 2021.
  • In addition to scoring three goals, Davis ranks second on the team with eight assists this season in all competitions. He has 11 total goal contributions this year after recording just two in his first three seasons from 2021-2023.
  • Midfielder Erik Thommy scored a 60th-minute equalizer in the Open Cup Final against LAFC on Sept. 25. Thommy has three goals in his last four matches across all competitions and is tied with Alan Pulido for second on the team with eight goals this season in all competitions.
  • Thommy has 13 goal contributions (five assists) this season in all competitions, tied with Alan Pulido for third most on the team behind William Agada (15) and Johnny Russell (14).
  • Forward Johnny Russell leads Sporting with nine assists this season in all competitions. His 14 total goal contributions (five goals) are second most on the team behind William Agada (15).
  • Forward Alan Pulido is tied for second on the team with eight goals this season in all competitions. His 13 total goal contributions this season (five assists) are tied with Erik Thommy for third most on the team behind William Agada (15) and Johnny Russell (14).
  • Forward Daniel Salloi has three assists in his last five matches across all competitions.

  • Dallas had a 1-10-6 road record during the 2024 regular season, tied with St. Louis City SC for the fewest away wins in MLS. The team’s lone road win was a 4-3 result at D.C. United on Aug. 24.
  • Dallas has scored 31 of its 52 regular season goals in the first half, a clip of 60%.
  • Dallas is 7-3-1 when scoring first and 3-12-3 when conceding first during the 2024 regular season. Similarly, the team is 6-0-1 when leading at halftime and 1-7-1 when trailing at halftime.
