The United States Men's Under 20 side will begin play tonight in the 2013 CONCACAF U-20 tournament. Mikey Lopez, Sporting KC's 2013 SuperDraft pick, is one of 20 players called up by coach Tab Ramos. The top four finishers from this tournament will qualify for the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup, set to take place in Turkey on June 21st through July 13th. The USA have never won the tournament but have placed second five different times.
The tournament starts with four groups of three with the top two finishers from each group advancing into the knockout stage. The knockout stage starts with the quarterfinal matches which decide the teams who make the U-20 World Cup. All USA matches will be televised on Fox Soccer.
