Dom Dwyer wants another MLS Cup. Simple as that.
The Sporting Kansas City forward recently sat down with ESPNFC's Sebastian Salazar and made it clear that expectations in 2017 are as high as ever. Anything less than a genuine title challenge, Dwyer says, won't be acceptable for a team that has bowed out three straight years in the Knockout Round after winning MLS Cup in 2013.
"We were one of the strongest teams in the league for a long time, but the last three years we really dropped away early," Dwyer said. "It's disappointing for us; we want to be that side that's around the top, playing in the Cup final. This year it's really win or bust. Winning is the only thing for us."
