Following Monday's 2-0 win over Colombia, the USWNT will look to continue their World Cup success on Friday as they take on China. These two teams have a known history in the tournament, as Friday's quarterfinal will see the first rematch of the 1999 WWC Final, an intense match which the United States won in a penalty shootout.
The USWNT will head into the match as heavy favorites despite missing star players Megan Rapinoe and FCKC's Lauren Holiday due to yellow card accumulation. China holds the lowest FIFA rating of all teams left in the tournament.
RSVP: World Cup watch party at Sporting Park
Friday's match will kick off at 6:30 p.m. CT and will be broadcast nationally on FOX. For the fourth time in the tournament, Sporting Park will open its doors for a free watch paty for the U.S. Women's National Team. The event will take place in the Boulevard Members Club with doors set to open at 5:30 p.m. CT.
Parking for the watch party is free in Lot D behind Lonestar Steakhouse.
