Sporting Kansas City is set to host the club’s home opener against the Houston Dynamo at Children’s Mercy Park tonight with two players remaining on the club’s injury report.
Andreu Fontas is out as he continues to rehab from his Achilles surgery last year, while Chilean midfielder Felipe Gutierrez is questionable for the second straight week as he deals with a knee injury.
Houston have confirmed they’ll be without Jose Bizama (ankle) and Marcelo Palomino (back) for the game, while star winger Alberth Elis (thigh), along with offseason additions Darwin Quintero (thigh) and Victor Cabrera (hip) are all questionable.
Kickoff for this tonight’s match is set for 7:30 p.m. CT on FOX Sports Kansas City, while Sports Radio 810 WHB (English) and La Grande 1340 AM (Spanish) will carry the game locally on the radio.
