Forward Kei Kamara, on loan from Sporting Kansas City to Norwich City FC, made his EPL debut today in a scoreless draw against Fulham FC. Kamara replaced Luciano Becchio in the 86th minute in front of the Canaries home crowd at Carrow Road and directed a header narrowly high of goal less than a minute into his appearance. "He's produced the biggest cheer of the afternoon from the Norwich support," the FOX Soccer commentator remarked.
The 28-year-old Sierra Leone international arrived in Norwich mid-week after securing his work visa and conducted his first training session with the squad on Thursday. Norwich City Manager
Chris Hughton told the BBC
prior to the match, "His mindset is very good. He wants to come here and he wants to make an impact. That's why we brought him over and that's what we would like him to do."
Kamara also received a loud ovation in the 38th minute upon warming up along the sideline and was shown on the FOX Soccer broadcast. Norwich City's Steve Garland commented, "Clear to say he's a fan favourite already!"
