Sporting Kansas City announced on Sunday that homegrown defender Kevin Ellis has re-joined USL PRO affiliate OKC Energy FC ahead of their regular season home finale tonight at 7 p.m. CT against the Charleston Battery.
Ellis, 23, has previously played in four USL PRO matches for OKC Energy FC earlier this season. The Kansas City, Missouri native has appeared in 19 matches for Sporting KC across all competition in 2014, recording a goal and an assist.
Ellis joins Sporting Kansas City's Jimmy Medranda and Christian Duke on loan with OKC Energy FC. Led by head coach Jimmy Nielsen, OKC Energy FC currently sits one point outside the final playoff position with three regular season games remaining in their inaugural campaign.
