Swope Park Rangers midfielder Kevin Oliveira has been named to the USL Team of the Week after scoring the first goal in club history against Portland Timbers 2 on Saturday, March 26.
The Rangers won the game 2-1 at Children's Mercy Park, and Oliveira was also named Man of the Match after a dominant midfield performance that included three shots with two of those being on frame. A late goal from Daniel Salloi made the game safe for the Rangers before Nick Besler pulled a goal back in the final few seconds for Timbers 2.
SPR are on the road this weekend, traveling to Tulsa, Oklahoma to take on the Roughnecks at ONEOK Field on Saturday, April 2. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT and the game will be available via live stream on SportingKC.com.
