Sporting Kansas City forward Krisztian Nemeth is one of five finalists for Major League Soccer's Etihad Airways Player of the Month in May. The 26-year-old scored three goals and added two assists as Sporting KC went unbeaten in five matches, highlighted by three straight home victories and a pair of road results at each conference's top team.
Voting for MLS Player of the Month is conducted online at MLSsoccer.com and runs until 11:59 p.m. PT on Wednesday, June 3.
Nemeth, acquired during the offseason from Roda JC Kerkrade in the Netherlands, leads Sporting Kansas City with six goals in 2015, which ranks fourth most in MLS. Moreover, Nemeth is second among all MLS newcomers in points this season alongside the league's top two paid players.

Nemeth is one of eight Sporting Kansas City players on the fan ballot for the 2015 AT&T MLS All-Star Game. Votes are counted through July 3 via an online ballot, as well as social media posts and goals scored with eligible forwards in EA SPORTS FIFA 15.
"He’s a fantastic player. I love playing with him," said Sporting KC forward Dom Dwyer. "He’s an intelligent (player) and he’s someone who I look up to as well."
Nemeth joined the Hungary Men's National Team this week for two upcoming international matches. Hungary, No. 43 in the FIFA rankings, will play Lithuania at 11:30 a.m. CT on Friday in preparation for an important UEFA Euro 2016 qualifier versus Finland on June 13.
May marks the third straight month for a Sporting Kansas City player to be nominated for MLS Player of the Month after Ike Opara (March, third place) and Benny Feilhaber (April, first place). Three of the club's players won the award in 2014: Dwyer (May), Eric Kronberg (June) and Feilhaber (July).
