Sporting KC defender Ike Opara is all the rage right now after the #IkeBike last weekend in Sporting KC's 2-1 victory over LA Galaxy. The 28-year-old center back scored the goal that everyone has been talking about this week and Tuesday afternoon Opara joined former MLS midfielder Bobby Warshaw's podcast, The Play.
The duo chatted about the importance of getting the bIke on target, the challenge of playing for Manager Peter Vermes and pushing yourself to a physical limit that you have never been able to go before and then of course, why everyone wants to play with him on FIFA.
Since the show was tapped on Tuesday, they did not get the chance to take about Opara's game-winner in Sporting KC's Open Cup game Wednesday night. Another day, another game, but the storyline remains the same: Ike Opara is on fire.
