Listen: Johny Russell and Daniel Salloi take part in an aux cord battle on The Drive on 610 Sports Radio

Ahead of Sporting Kanas City's Sunday showdown against the New York Red Bulls, forwards Johny Russell and Daniel Salloi appeared on The Drive with Carrington Harrison and partook in an aux cord battle.

Both Russell and Salloi selected songs from five categories ranging from hype music to Disney songs and played them for everyone in the studio. There was then a conversation about who everyone thought won but the fans ultimately decided the winner.

The first category was "hype songs", followed by "rap songs so popular my grandma has heard of it." Ironically enough, Salloi was considering selecting Russell's choice for hype song and it was revealed that the Hungarain assassin is the pregame, locker room DJ.

Following the first two rounds, it was a general consensus that it was tied at one. Going into the third round the two had to pick songs from Disney Movies with Russell going the classic route, Salloi trying to appeal to the younger generation and nobody able to decide a winner.

After a very competitive fourth round, "songs that make people want to dance," and fifth round, "party songs from 2009," neither player knew who won. Fans can listen to Russell and Salloi's picks here and decide for themselves who they think the better DJ is.

The dynamic duo will be back in action on Sunday for Sporting's match against the New York Red Bulls at Children's Mercy Park at 7 p.m. CT. Tickets can be purchased via SeatGeek.com and the match can be found locally on 38 The Spot.
