Sporting Kansas City's season might be over, but Sporting KC players are still out in the community doing great things in our city. This past week, Matt Besler joined Soren Petro on The Program to discuss his work with the Bishop Sullivan Center. Besler is in his third year working with the Bishop Sullivan Center to serve food to homeless people around the holidays. For the second straight year, fans who donate cash to Sports Radio 810 WHB's food drive will be entered into a raffle to join Besler on one of his trips to Bishop Sullivan.
In addition to his work in the community, Besler and Petro discussed a variety of topics relevant to American soccer fans including the academy system as well as the future of the U.S. Men's National Team. Additionally, Besler discussed the locker room's reaction to the Dom Dwyer trade and why he decided to write a book. No Other Home is available in book stores throughout the city as well as on Amazon and Barnes and Nobles.
