After playing four of six games in the month of May on the road, Sporting Kansas City returns to Children's Mercy Park for a pair of home matches against Minnesota United and Montreal Impact. Saturday's match against Minnesota will kick off at 4 p.m. CT and will be broadcast nationally on ESPN. Tickets for the match are still available including recently released Standing Room Only tickets.
To preview Saturday's match against Minnesota, goalkeeper Tim Melia joined this week's Sporting KC Show on 810 WHB.
"We're looking forward to getting back out there against a team that we had an unfavorable result against," Melia told hosts Dave Borchardt and Carter Augustine.
Melia is in the midst of a career year as the veteran goalkeeper leads MLS in shutouts (7) and save percentage (78.2%) and tied for second in wins (6). Melia has won two MLS Save of the Week awards in 2017 and is currently on the ballot for the MLS All-Star Fan XI (Voting is open via MLS mobile app).
