Mazuma Mezzanine luxury suite experience opens at Sporting Park

Sporting Kansas City and Mazuma Credit Union have partnered to launch the Mazuma Mezzanine luxury suite experience at Sporting Park. The all-inclusive area, located above the Boulevard Members Club in the northeast corner of the stadium, will host its first match on Saturday when the team faces the Colorado Rapids.


“As marketing partners, Sporting Kansas City and Mazuma wanted to create an interactive luxury suite that would elevate Sporting Park’s already elite stadium experience to the next level,” said Jamie Guin, Vice President of Corporate Partnerships at Sporting Kansas City. “The Mazuma Mezzanine will help us provide guests one of the best fan experiences in sports.”


The Mazuma Mezzanine is the first major expansion project tied to the overall fan experience and increased premium seating capacity at Sporting Park. Featuring a modern, hexagonal design that resembles a soccer ball, the enclosed space will include a full bar and a premium food and beverage program for up to 60 supporters on game day.

The presence of Mazuma’s brand at Sporting Park will also connect the company to potential members in the state of Kansas. Sporting Kansas City has a large fan base in Johnson County and Wyandotte County, new areas of operation for Mazuma and a focal point for future growth. The company opened a brand new, state-of-the-art headquarters in Overland Park earlier this year.


The Mazuma Mezzanine is the latest initiative shared between Sporting Kansas City and Mazuma Credit Union, who announced a five-year sponsorship deal in April and released the Sporting Blue Visa Credit Card last month. Every qualifying purchase made with the Sporting Blue Card earns points towards club merchandise, match tickets, autographed gear and unique game day experiences.


Sporting Blue Card users receive five points for every dollar spent on Sporting KC tickets, Sporting Style purchases or concessions at Sporting Park and three points per dollar spent on all other transactions. Sporting Blue Card Rewards include all-inclusive trips (airfare, lodging, tickets and food) for Sporting KC away games, Sporting Style gift cards, and tickets to Sporting KC home matches or special events at Sporting Park. In addition, all items purchased at Sporting Style locations inside Sporting Park with a Sporting Blue Card automatically qualify for a 5 percent discount.


A Kansas City institution since 1948, Mazuma Credit Union has more than 56,000 members and nine branches throughout the metropolitan area. Mazuma served as the title sponsor for Sporting Kansas City’s home match against FC Dallas last month. The first 10,000 fans inside Sporting Park received co-branded t-shirts showcasing the hairstyles from four of the team’s most recognizable players: Dom Dwyer, Benny Feilhaber, Chance Myers and Graham Zusi.
