This week's edition of the Sporting KC Show aired on Sports Radio 810 WHB on Tuesday as hosts Nate Bukaty, Jacob Peterson and Aly Trost were joined by special guest Remi Walter ahead of Sporting's match in Montreal on Saturday.
The 27-year-old midfielder, who played eight seasons in Europe before signing with Sporting KC prior to the 2021 season, has two goals and a game-winning assist this season as the only Sporting KC field player to start all 19 matches this season. He leads the league in distance covered (127.6 miles) and ranks third among all MLS field players in recoveries (155) while his 88.5% passing accuracy is best on the team.
Walter is on the cusp of his 50th MLS appearance as Sporting Kansas City (4-11-4, 16 points) will continue the club's MLS campaign with a trip north of the border to take on CF Montreal (9-6-2, 29 points) at 6:30 p.m. CT on Saturday at Stade Saputo.
Saturday's match will be locally televised on 38 The Spot with three hours of coverage beginning at 6 p.m. CT. The broadcast will also stream live on SportingKC.com and in the Sporting KC app for viewers in Kansas and Missouri (excluding the St. Louis area per MLS policy), as well as ESPN+ for out-of-market subscribers.
