Major League Soccer will host MLS NEXT -- a daylong event in New York City -- beginning at 10:15 a.m. CT today to celebrate the future of MLS and the unveiling of a new brand ahead of the league's 20th season in 2015. Commissioner Don Garber will be in attendance along with select MLS players and the event will be streamed live (video above) by MLSsoccer.com.
The new mark for Major League Soccer will be fully launched at the MLS Combine and MLS SuperDraft in January 2015. Each club will also be able to utilize an adapted version of the league crest to reflect their club identity and colors, an asset that will be showcased most prominently on the sleeve of club uniforms in 2015.

Today's events will conclude with an MLS and EA Sports FIFA 15 party in New York City at 6:30 p.m. CT. The popular video game will be available in North American stores on Sept. 23.
Major League Soccer's Facebook page will unveil the official MLS and Sporting KC custom covers for FIFA 15 on Friday. Sporting Kansas City All-Stars Matt Besler and Graham Zusi were two of 20 MLS players in contention to be amongst the four MLS players who will appear on the league's annual cover.
