New edition of Behind the Shield presented by Audi covers club's second straight double match week

New in 2024, Behind the Shield presented by Audi will be available after every match this season with the video series - produced by Sporting Kansas City's full-time digital storytellers - providing fans with an immersive viewing experience highlighted by exclusive interviews and all-access footage from Sporting Kansas City players, trainings and matchdays.

This week's BTS captures the sights and sounds from the club's second straight double match week as Sporting Kansas City concluded a stretch of five games in 15 days with Western Conference clashes against Vancouver and Minnesota.

Fans can also hear from Sporting KC midfielder Felipe Hernandez and forward Stephen Afrifa during the seven-minute episode, which can be seen on SportingKC.com, Sporting Kansas City's YouTube channel and MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.

"The culture of this club is amazing," Hernandez said. "Even when things are shaky for the team and things aren't going well, it's a good place to be...We have a lot of veteran guys, a lot of leaders. If we come in every day and the vibes are down, there's no way of getting out of it. We try to keep the vibes high and keep everyone motivated."

Sporting Kansas City will host the Seattle Sounders FC at 7:30 p.m. CT on Saturday at Children's Mercy Park as the club celebrates Soccer For All with Sporting KC players wearing the Pride Pre-Match top during warm-ups as part of a league-wide collection during Pride Month.

Tickets for Saturday's showdown with Seattle are available online via SeatGeek, including the Sporting U Pass offering $15 Supporters' Stand tickets for college students. The Western Conference clash will be available to watch on Apple TV for MLS Season Pass subscribers and radio coverage will air locally on Sports Radio 810 WHB in English and La Grande 1340 AM in Spanish with live audio streams available in the Sporting KC App.

In addition, Pub partners in the Sporting Pub Network will also show all of the action including a watch partiy at No Other Pub in the Kansas City Power and Light District with food and drink specials for fans.
