This week's BTS captures the sights and sounds from the home opener, taking viewers throughout Children's Mercy Park as Sporting unveiled new upgrades to the fan experience.
Fans can also hear from Tim Melia, Andreu Fontas, Jake Davis, Daniel Salloi and Remi Walter during the 12-minute episode, which can be seen on SportingKC.com, Sporting Kansas City's YouTube channel and MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
"Starting this year and seeing the stadium full again, it was special. It's an amazing environment," said Fontas, who made the 350th appearance of his professional career on Saturday.
"To play the first home game with the atmosphere they brought, it was loud the whole game," said Davis, who recorded an assist on Walter's first-half strike in the 1-1 draw. "They were with us until the end."
Up next, Sporting Kansas City returns to the road to play reigning Western Conference champions Los Angeles FC, led by 2023 MLS Golden Boot winner Denis Bouanga and World Cup record setter Hugo Lloris, at 9:30 p.m. CT on Saturday at BMO Stadium in southern California.
Saturday's showdown will be available on Apple TV for MLS Season Pass subscribers and will air locally on Sports Radio 810 WHB and LA Grande 1340 AM. Pub partners in the Sporting Pub Network will also show all of the action, including the club's official watch party at No Other Pub in the Kansas City Power and Light District.
