Sporting Kansas City announced today a new kickoff time for the club's regular season home match against Real Salt Lake on Saturday, March 26 at Children's Mercy Park. The match, previously set for 7 p.m. CT, will now kick off one hour earlier at 6 p.m. CT to accommodate the national television broadcast on UniMas and TUDN.Â
Sporting will host Real Salt Lake on March 26 for the first meeting between the clubs since the 2021 MLS Cup Playoffs. Tickets for the rematch of the Western Conference Semifinal are included in season ticket packages, as well as the No Mercy Pack, and can also be purchased online at SeatGeek.com.
Led by Manager Peter Vermes and captain Johnny Russell, Sporting will begin the team's 27th season on Sunday, Feb. 27 against Atlanta United FC inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium with the earliest regular season match in club history airing live on FS1. The club's highly anticipated home opener then arrives on Saturday, March 5 against longtime rivals Houston Dynamo FC with kick off set for 2:30 p.m. CT on Univision.
