Sporting Kansas City defender and Liechtenstein standout Nico Hasler earned his 67th cap for his country on Monday in a 3-0 home loss to Bosnia & Herzegovina at Rheinpark Stadion.
Hasler went the full 90 minutes for the second time this international window, having already logged a full match on Friday night during a 3-0 defeat on the road against Finland in UEFA Euro 2020 Qualification - allowing the Nordic country to clinch their first ever qualification to a major tournament.
Hasler and Liechtenstein held Bosnia & Herzegovina scoreless for close to 60 minutes before eventually succumbing to the pressure in the 57th minute as Eldar Civic gave the hosts the lead. Armin Hodzic added a brace with goals in the 64th and 72nd minutes to seal a comfortable win for Bosnia & Herzegovina, who end their qualification campaign in fourth place in Group J - missing out on Euro 2020.
One of the most accomplished players on the Liechtenstein squad and in the country's history, Hasler started all 10 Euro qualifying matches for his country this year. The side took two draws and eight losses from those games, highlighted by a 1-1 stalemate at Greece in September that saw Hasler record the game-tying assist.
