A new episode of the Nutmeg Podcast dropped today as 610 Sports Radio host Josh Klingler caught up with Sporting Kansas City midfielder Roger Espinoza, who is in full preparation mode for the MLS is Back Tournament next month at ESPN Wide World of Sports at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
Espinoza and Sporting will open their group stage campaign on July 12 against Minnesota United FC before facing the Colorado Rapids on July 17 and Real Salt Lake on July 22, with all three games to be shown nationally on ESPN, ESPN Deportes and the ESPN app.
“It looks like we’re going to be in a great environment, so once we knew the tournament was in place, for me it was great,” Espinoza said. “I want to play and I’m here to play. A lot of the guys on the team felt that way. We’re very excited because I believe we have a great team and we can (really) do something this year."
