Sporting Kansas City Manager Peter Vermes and forward Khiry Shelton joined 610 Sports Radio on Thursday in support of the Tyrann Mathieu Foundation COVID-19 Relief Radiothon.
Kansas City Chiefs defensive back Tyrann Mathieu spearheaded Thursday's 12-hour radio event fundraiser to help give back to those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. In conjunction with the radiothon is a silent auction that is now open for bidding.
Vermes and Shelton had no shortage of compelling talking points to discuss, as Sporting Kansas City players returned to Compass Minerals National Performance Center this week for the start of voluntary individual workouts.

As the next step forward in Major League Soccer's return to play, these individual workouts marked the first time that Sporting players have worked out at the world-class facility since the 2020 MLS season was suspended March 12 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Voluntary individual workouts will be held in compliance with detailed health and safety protocols that were created in consultation with MLS as well as medical and infectious disease experts.
