The United States Men's National Team concludes the January camp on Saturday night with a friendly against Korea Republic at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.
Three Sporting Kansas City players (Matt Besler, Benny Feilhaber, Graham Zusi) are currently with the squad, which includes 22 players. Besler earned his first cap last January, and made 12 appearances in 2013. Zusi has 18 caps, including two goals and two assists in international play. Feilhaber is a veteran from the 2010 FIFA World Cup and featured in last year's friendly vs Canada.
The USMNT have faced Korea Republic six times all-time, most recently a 1-1 draw in the 2002 FIFA World Cup. Korea Republic won Group D in that tournament and the USA finished second as both teams advanced to the knockout stage. Overall, the United States are 1-3-2 against Korea Republic.
Both teams have qualified for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Korea will be playing in their eighth consecutive World Cup and booked their trip to Brazil by finishing second in Group A of the fourth round of AFC qualifying. The United States clinched a spot by finishing top of the fourth round of CONCACAF qualifying with a 7-1-2 record.
Korea heads into the match with a 1-1-0 record in 2014 after a 1-0 win against Costa Rica on January 25 and 4-0 loss to Mexico on January 29. The most experienced played on the squad is Lee Keun-Ho, who has scored 18 goals in 60 international appearances. For the United States, the team is led by all-time scoring and cap leader Landon Donovan.
Saturday's match will kick off at 4 p.m. CT and be broadcast live on ESPN2, UniMas, and WatchESPN. Additional coverage will be available on USSoccer.com and @USSoccer on Twitter.
