On the defensive breakdowns that led to the goals…
On the first goal, just a mistake on Kevin’s part with the pass out of the back and that leads to the first goal. On the second goal, we talked about it that they were going to play the balls over the top. We knew that they were and that it is something they have been doing with this group of guys. Unfortunately, they caught us on the fast break and again we gave up those two goals. I think it made us chase the game. Amazingly enough, we had a great chance with [Connor] Hallisey, that was one and the same thing with [Diego] Rubio with the header. There probably should have been a penalty kick as well and then we could have been back in the game. Then we gave up the third goal and it just changes it all. At the end, they were the better team tonight. They were the better team. We didn’t compete as well as we should.
How the current schedule impacted lineup decisions…
With the schedule, and we have seven guys that are out injured. All seven of them are potential starters. So not being able to have a mix of those guys in the game is obviously a big reason the lineup was what it was. But I don’t make that as an excuse, because we still could have been better in the game and we weren’t and that’s on us. That’s why we are in the situation where lost tonight They were better.
