Sporting Kansas City captain Matt Besler had plenty to be excited about when he joined The Border Patrol on Tuesday morning with hosts Nate Bukaty and Steven St. John.
Making his customary appearance on Sports Radio 810 WHB, Besler reflected on Sporting KC's excellent month of August — the club posted four straight shutout victories in the regular season for the first time ever — and looked ahead to Saturday's mouthwatering matchup with red-hot Seattle Sounders FC, who are riding a seven-game winning streak of their own.
Besler also recalled his special experience meeting several World War II veterans on Saturday at Children's Mercy Park as Sporting KC hosted is second annual Sporting Salutes, an immersive military appreciation night that honored past and present service personnel of the United States Armed Forces.
And for the football fans out there, Besler also shared his thoughts on the Kansas City Chiefs and the upcoming fantasy football season, where he and his teammates are always extremely competitive.
