The Swope Park Rangers home match versus Sacramento Republic FC, originally scheduled for Friday, July 27, has been rescheduled and will be held at 7:30 p.m. CT on Tuesday, July 10 at Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kansas.
The Rangers are 2-0-2 all-time against Sacramento, including a 1-0 victory in last year’s USL Western Conference Semifinals at Children’s Mercy Park on Kharlton Belmar’s game-winning goal and Adrian Zendejas’ four-save shutout.
Sacramento, led by new head coach Simon Elliott and captain Jeremy Hall, are currently unbeaten atop the Western Conference. The 2014 USL champions are 4-0-2 to start the 2018 season and the club’s 14 points are most in the USL this season.
The Rangers, led by new head coach Paulo Nagamura and captain Rodrigo Saravia, sit in fourth place in the Western Conference with a 3-1-2 record through the team’s first six matches. The Rangers will next host I-70 rivals Saint Louis FC at 7:30 p.m. CT on Saturday at Children’s Mercy Park with the first 500 fans in attendance receiving commemorative Western Conference champions t-shirts.
