The Return of Eddie Johnson

The Return of Eddie Johnson -

In case you only pay attention to Sporting Kansas City, Eddie Johnson is back in MLS. He plays for the Seattle Sounders FC and will likely be on the field Wednesday night playing against his former Kansas City squad for the first time since leaving the club back in 2008.

While playing with Kansas City for two seasons, Johnson scored 17 goals through 43 matches. He won the MLS 2007 Comeback Player of the Year after notching 15 goals and six assists in 24 games. Following that monstrous season, he moved abroad to England and signed at Fulham.

After four seasons overseas, which included three separate loans outside of Fulham, Johnson signed with MLS once again at the beginning of 2012. Now, he finds himself in Seattle where he has scored four goals in 11 games, including the team's lone tally in their 4-1 loss at Montreal on Saturday.
