Sporting Kansas City is back home Sunday to face LA Galaxy at Children’s Mercy Park, and with the highly anticipated return comes a variety of perks on Sporting KC Uphoria. As kickoff beckons between two perennial winners, here are seven reasons to use Sporting KC’s official app this weekend.
1 - Signed retro kit and #SKCvLA tickets up for grabs
Starting at 2 p.m. CT Sunday, Uphoria users will be able to vote for Sporting KC’s Player of the Month for April. Everyone who casts a vote on their smartphone will be entered to win a commemorative Sporting KC retro kit signed by five members of Kansas CIty’s All-Time Best XI — current players Matt Besler, Dom Dwyer and Graham Zusi as well as present coaches Peter Vermes and Kerry Zavagnin.
Before then, however, supporters can test their knowledge with an #SKCvLA trivia question on the app. The trivia poll will be open Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. CT, and two correct respondents will win a pair of tickets to Sunday's match at Children's Mercy Park.
2 - Ben & Jerry's ice cream for 99 cents
Between Sunday and Tuesday, supporters can redeem a Uphoria offer card for 99-cent Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream courtesy of Price Chopper. Offer cards are much like groupons and just as easy to use. Simply show the offer card to the cashier at any Kansas City-area Price Chopper location to enjoy delicious Ben & Jerry’s ice cream for just 99 cents. The offer will expire at the end of Tuesday.
#3 - Concession offers courtesy of Legends Hospitality
Supporters attending Sunday’s match will have their fingers crossed for multiple goals and a first-half clean sheet. Why? Because if Sporting KC scores twice, everyone inside Children’s Mercy Park can use an offer card for BOGO hot dogs at Stadium Fare in sections 101 and 127. And if Sporting KC posts a first-half shutout, an offer card will become active for half-price gourmet pretzels in section 117.
4 - Get on the videoboard with MySKC Cam
MySKC Cam is a camera within Uphoria that allows users to capture their favorite game day moments regardless of location, add Sporting-themed overlays and instantly share photos on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Users can also store MySKC Cam photos to their smartphones or send them to Sporting KC, with entries being displayed on the Children’s Mercy Park video board throughout the match.
#5 - Perks at No Other Pub
The official home for Sporting KC watch parties is giving additional perks to Uphoria users. The day after Sporting KC wins, fans will receive an Offer Card for a free appetizer with a $20 purchase. At No Other Pub for a watch party? Share a MySKC Cam photo to Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #NoOtherPub to be eligible for a No Other Pub gift card.
6 - Experience Upgrades
Looking to make your experience at Children’s Mercy Park even better? Ticket holders can access “Tix City Seat Options” in the left navigation menu to choose from a variety of Experience Upgrades, including:
- VIP parking
- Post-game photos on the pitch
- Access to the Ameritas Shield Club, UMB Field Club and Boulevard Members Club

#7 - Replay and live stats
Users can access the “Details” page on the Uphoria home screen to view everything from lineups and formations to detailed team stats, player stats and box scores. In addition, match-goers connected to the “CMPGuest” Wifi network can watch replays of the game’s most exciting moments from up to six different camera angles.
