Sporting Kansas City midfielder Soni Mustivar collected his 12th cap Sunday for the Haiti Men's National Team in a 3-1 friendly defeat to Colombia at Marlins Park in Miami.
Mustivar played the final 42 minutes of the match as Haiti prepared for its inaugural appearance in the Copa America against a potent Colombia side ranked No. 4 in the world. Haiti's Wilde-Donald Guerrier scored in the 35th minute, cancelling out Dayro Moreno's 13th-minute opener, but the Colombians struck twice in the second half through Juan Cuadrado and Roger Martinez to secure the victory.
The Haiti Men’s National Team, No. 71 in the latest FIFA rankings, will now look ahead to its first game in the Copa America Centenario against No. 46 Peru on Saturday at CenturyLink Field in Seattle. Les Grenadiers will then face seventh-ranked Brazil on June 8 in Orlando and 12th-ranked Ecuador on June 12 in East Rutherford, New Jersey, to round out Group B action.

The Copa America Centenario is a prestigious international tournament featuring 16 nations from CONMEBOL (South America) and CONCACAF (North and Central America and the Caribbean). Headlined by the United States, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina, the event is a celebration of the 100th anniversary of CONMEBOL and the Copa America. This summer’s tournament, held across 10 U.S. cities from Friday through June 26, will be the first edition played outside of South America.
