The newest member of the Sporting Kansas City family was born Tuesday as defender Andreu Fontas, his wife Clara and his daughter Andrea welcomed Alexandra into the world.
Fontas arrived in Kansas City with his wife and firstborn daughter in 2018. He is now in his third season with Sporting, having started his career with European powerhouse FC Barcelona in his native Spain.
Alexandra and the Fontas family are likely to see Andeu take the field with Sporting in the coming weeks. Major League Soccer plans to resume the 2020 season with a tournament in Orlando this summer, with more details to be announced soon.
