Sporting Development League enters two-year partnership with Trace

Sporting Development League (SDL) and Trace are excited to announce an exclusive two-year partnership that equips SDL teams with access to the full suite of features included in Trace’s game-changing platform.

With Trace as the Official Video Sponsor of SDL, participating teams will receive a free 30-day trial to see firsthand the benefits of Trace’s automatically filmed and edited games, personalized player moments, tactical team playlists, player performance data and more. SDL teams will also gain full access to Trace’s platform for recruiting and development, Trace iD, while players and coaches will have opportunities for continuing education through custom Trace Workshops and webinars.

Launched in 2020, Sporting Development League features competition for U12-U14 Boys from select Academy Affiliate clubs, along with the U12-U13 Sporting KC Academy teams. The interaction between affiliate clubs and the Sporting KC Academy fosters collaboration and long-term development for each player and coach.

Sporting Development League also enhances the opportunity for players to progress on the Pro Player Pathway. That includes providing opportunities for player identification and a wealth of initiatives promoting coach education and player development.

This promising partnership with Trace is an extension of those initiatives. Trace will empower SDL coaches and players to be more effective and efficient in their use of video analysis by giving teams the tools they need to explore, understand and improve the way they play.
