Sporting Kansas City U-14s and U-13s conclude 2024 by competing in Cronos Cup in Guadalajara, Mexico from Dec. 14-20

Sporting Kansas City's U-14s and U-13s are in Guadalajara, Mexico where they will compete against top LIGA MX Academies in the 2024 Cronos Cup from December 14-20. The youngest Sporting KC Academy teams will wrap up a busy 2024 with the international tournament while immersing themselves in the Mexican culture with excursions around the city.

After competing in Cronos Cup a year ago, Sporting KC is back along with the FC Dallas Academy. St. Louis CITY and Colorado Rapids will make their Cup debuts in the 2024 rendition of the competition.

The tournament consists of four group-stage matches. Finishing either first or second in the group will earn Sporting a spot in the semifinals on Thursday for a chance to lift the trophy in the finals on Friday. All four group stage matches come against Liga MX academies giving the boys the rare experience of playing international players in a unique environment.

Head coach Luis Pacheco will lead the U-14s down in Mexico a few days after guiding the U-15s to a 2-1-0 record at MLS NEXT Fest in Palm Springs, California. The U-13s are coached by Jamie MacGregor in his second year with the Academy after coaching in the Center of Excellence and the U-12s at the 2024 Patterson Cup.
