SPORTING KC HOSTS HOUSTON DYNAMO SATURDAY
Sporting Kansas City will host the Houston Dynamo at 7 p.m. CT this Saturday at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park. The match will be a much-anticipated rematch of the 2012 Eastern Cup Championship when Sporting KC fell 2-0 to the Dynamo last November at home.
The match, presented by Outback Steakhouse, will be broadcast locally on KCTV5, with coverage beginning at 6:30 p.m. CT.
U.S. Men's National Team captain Carlos Bocanegra will be making a special appearance and will be available for interviews at halftime.
SPORTING KC RALLIES FOR 3-1 WIN OVER MONTREAL IMPACT
Sporting Kansas City defeated the Montreal Impact by a 3-1 score line Wednesday at Stade Saputo in Montreal. After falling behind in the 49th minute on a goal from Patrice Bernier, Sporting KC came back with goals from Kei Kamara, Graham Zusi and Jacob Peterson in a 25-minute span.
Sporting Kansas City improved their record to 10-5-2 and moved into second place in the Eastern Conference, just one point shy of D.C. United.

Sporting Kansas City will take part in the Crossroads Summer Block Party being held from 4-11 p.m. CT on Friday in the Kansas City Crossroads Arts District. The team will have a booth setup at the corner of 19th and Wyandotte beginning at 6 p.m. CT. SPORTING KC WAIVES LUKE SASSANO
Sporting Kansas City has waived Luke Sassano. The 26-year-old midfielder appeared in 10 regular season MLS matches for Sporting Kansas City after arriving in 2011, scoring his first MLS goal in a 4-1 win at FC Dallas last season.
Sassano, a University of California alum, appeared in each of the club's four games in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup last year and played in 10 Reserve League fixtures for Sporting KC, tallying two assists. He also appeared in the team's international friendly against the English Premier League's Newcastle United FC and recorded two goals and two assists in exhibitions against Rockhurst University and the Kansas City Brass earlier this season.

Tickets for the upcoming U.S. Men's National Team World Cup qualifier at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park in Kansas City, Kan., will go on sale to the public on July 24. The MNT concludes the Semifinal Round of FIFA World Cup qualifying by facing Guatemala on October 16 at 6 p.m. CT.

SIX CHOSEN FROM SPORTING KC FOR 2012 ALL-STAR GAME BALLOT
Major League Soccer revealed the 114 names of players - six per club - who were nominated for the fan ballot by a panel of media members. Sporting Kansas City's representatives are goalkeeper Jimmy Nielsen, defender Aurelien Collin, midfielders Roger Espinoza and Graham Zusi, as well as forwards Kei Kamara and C.J. Sapong. Voting is now closed.
The 11 players with the highest combined online, text and Twitter fan votes will become the First XI All-Stars and will be unveiled on Sunday at halftime of the Chicago Fire vs. LA Galaxy match. One of those 11 spots is automatically claimed by the player that earns the most text votes.

SPORTING KC ANNOUNCES FRIENDLY WITH MONTPELLIER
Sporting Kansas City will host French Ligue 1 champions Montpellier HSC at 7:30 p.m. CT on Tuesday, July 24 at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park. Tickets begin at $20 and are on sale to the public at Ticketmaster.com or at the LSP Box Offices.
All Sporting Kansas City Season Ticket Members will receive a ticket to the match, Special Game C, as part of their full-season ticket packages and parking is free for all Sporting KC home matches at LSP.
Founded in 1974, Montpellier Hérault Sport Club is coming off the club's best season in the team's storied history, winning the French Ligue 1 Title for the 2011-12 campaign. Led by French national team player Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa (captain), as well as talented Moroccan international Younes Belhanda (awarded as best African player in France), Montpellier won 25 games and finished three points ahead of Paris Saint-Germain.

Founded in 1863, Stoke City are the oldest club in the Premier League and are led by Manager Tony Pulis and forward Peter Crouch, an England international with 22 goals in 42 appearances.
