Sporting Kansas City advances to the Round of 32 of Leagues Cup 2024. The top two teams of each group advance to the Round of 32, and with both Sporting and Toluca winning their matches against Chicago Fire FC, both teams have advanced. Sporting ended second in the group and will face the reigning MLS Cup Champion Columbus Crew at Lower.com Field on August 9. The match will be available on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
Leagues Cup 2024 features all 47 clubs from MLS (29 teams) and LIGA MX (18 teams) in a World Cup-style tournament. The top three teams qualify for the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup. The single-elimination Knockout Stage begins with the Round of 32 from Aug. 7-9 and concludes with the final on Aug. 25.
