Sporting Kansas City and Community Blood Center will continue their longstanding partnership this month when Children’s Mercy Park hosts a blood drive from 12-6 p.m. on Thursday, March 28 with all registered donors receiving a free "I Bleed Sporting Blue" t-shirt.
Community members can make an appointment for the blood drive online or by calling 1-877-468-6844. Appointments for the blood drive are strongly encouraged and walk-ins will only be accepted as capacity safely allows.
The blood drive will take place inside the Budweiser Brew House, located at the northeast corner of Children’s Mercy Park at the intersection of Village West Parkway and France Family Drive in Kansas City, Kansas.
Sporting Kansas City and the Community Blood Center are longtime partners who have teamed up to host blood drives together dating back to 1998.Â
It only takes one hour to donate and a single donation can save multiple lives. Blood donors can give every 56 days and the Food and Drug Administration recently lifted several blood donor eligibility restrictions. To view current eligibility guidelines, click here or call 800.688.0900.
