Sporting Kansas City and Hiland Dairy teamed up to award checks in the amount of $5,000 each to three local nonprofit organizations serving the Black community with a special presentation at halftime of Wednesday's Juneteenth match-up between Sporting Kansas City and Real Salt Lake at Children's Mercy Park.
Hiland Dairy served as the match title night partner for SKCvRSL and the company will also donate Hiland Dairy products to each nonprofit over the next year to support health and wellness initiatives.
As part of both organizations’ commitment to supporting and uplifting our community, Sporting KC and Hiland Dariy associates voted to determine the following three local nonprofits to receive support through monetary and in-kind donations.
Youth Guidance sees a bright and successful future for every elementary and high school student. The organization creates and implements school-based programs that enable children to overcome obstacles, focus on their education and, ultimately, succeed in school and life.

Blaque KC is a grassroots movement focused on improving educational outcomes for Black students in Kansas City and beyond.
